Heya!

Sheena here!

=>Hacking means too be accessed to the personal files to someone's else by secretively knowing their security codes, passwords and others which help one to access his/her accounts in social medias, bank accounts etc.

=> Hacking is very common in social media accounts and also sometimes in Financial related places such as bank. Even Bank accounts can get hacked Which will cause great loss.

=> We call the person who hacks as a hacker. Hackers are very intelligent. Most of times software engineers be a hacker as they know many logic to hack a device.

Coming to your question>>>

Q. You have been hacked!! Give some ideas to avoid such hackers.

Answer>>>

Okay If your device gets hacked>>>

=> Try to consult any software engineer if possible. They will be knowing the tricks to save your files.

=> If you can't then try to remove the hard disc  and then you must be having any antivirus in your pc/laptop or other electronic device, Try to scan it for any virus or malware. Then try wipe your hard disc so that all the infected files can be permanently washed away. Then try to scan your device again and again and as soon as possible try to contact ant software engineer.

=> In some cases when your device gets hacked you can sometimes lose your files.

When your social media account gets hacked =>

=> Try to change the passwords keep complicated ones don't keep simple passwords like your name or anything personal related ones, Because if the hacker is your relative or someone close ones he can easily crack those.

=> If you have given your email-Id, Usernames then try to change the passwords of that accounts too as one account hacked they can get many information and that will cause many more problems. So even if you have any personal information (phone numbers, account numbers, Security codes) Saved in your accounts then try to save them somewhere else but those things should be deleted at once.

=> If somewhere your Facebook account is linked with any other social account then try to remove all your information in it and make it only visible to you (You may have that option) or delete all your friends, Remove your profile picture, personal information and also You can change your username so that the hacker almost be not able to get your information.

=> If you are hacked on any online social game try to contact the moderators of that game and they can provide you helpful information!

Precautions taken for avoiding Hackers.

=> If you are on any Social media site DON'T SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION LIKE E-MAIL,PASSWORDS,SECURITY CODES ,MOBILE NUMBERS ETC.

=> Don't ever try to post much pics, videos of yourself, your family etc. Some unknown may stalk your profile and just get your posts and ruin you on the social medias.

=> Try not to say unnecessary things when not asked as people nowadays are very smart and never to trust anyone. They may play a game with you and take out all the information from you as you may think positively.

=> Try to answer what is required No unnecessary explanations which is not to the point. Be mentally awake and think whatever you reply for several times.

=> Don't provide much information about yourself as it will make more issues and don't believe anyone on the social media because anyone can claim that he/she is so and so and when in reality he/she is not but someone the other.

=> If you are on any social media try to post what is required, As I mentioned not to post much things as people will get more information about you.
-----------------------------

I hope this will help you to be safe from the Hackers.

Stay safe!

HELLO THERE!

With a dream to become a Software Developer at Google Inc, I am answering your question:

Hacking: Hacking is the term given to the practice in which special skilled people called hackers access the secret information in the devices of other people.

Some people think that hacking is a term only used for bad purpose. Hackers only disturb and ruin, they use their power for evil purposes.

But to them, my answer is a BIG NO. Hacking is not a bane, it is a boon too. Intelligence Agencies need special skilled hackers to collect information about their enemies, who may pose a great threat to common men's life. Hence, hacking is a boon in some places, and mostly bane in other.

When it comes to your question, first of all, let me suggest you some facts to be safe from being hacked:

#1. Browse on Internet safely:
Some websites track your data using cookies. Cookies are actually a string of information, which the websites send to your device, and store it, so that they know you when you visit them again. Hence, this is a big threat to your privacy. Cookies are not easily detectable. Sometimes they also use up a huge amount of space.

#2. Avoid posting your information on social media: Now-a-days, everyone remains busy in posting pictures in Facebook, Instagram, and other social networking sites.
In one reported case, a family, before going on a trip to Bangkok, posted on their Facebook account, that they are going to Bangkok. After they returned back from the trip, they found the lock of their front door broken. As they entered their house, they found the other goods, jewellery, and all money missing. Do you know why these happened?

The thieves collected the information from Facebook, that the house is going to be empty for a week. So, they came to the house, took all expensive things, and fled off, fearlessly and successfully.

So, refrain from posting your private data on these sites as much as you can.

#3. Buy a license of an Antivirus and keep that active on your device (I prefer K7 Total Security Antivirus): Viruses are the most common programs which are used by hackers to steal private information. Some viruses like Malware, Trojan Horse, ILoveYou, etc, are the deadliest of the deadliest. So, you must keep the paid version of an antivirus active on your device.

Note: While installing some applications like BlueStacks (on PC), you may get a notification "Deactivate your antivirus if it is disturbing with the installation". What I advise is do not dare to deactivate your antivirus. The consequences can be really deadly.

I prefer K7 Antivirus because it is relatively cheaper (Only Rs.239 is required for 6 months, and further less money is requred for a year).

Now, if your account is hacked here on Brainly, here are some things which you can do:

Change your password immediately. Do not keep common passwords which are easily guessed and cracked like:
iloveyou
brainly
<Your username>
etc.........

The most helpful way is to get your account deleted, but hence you will lose all your progress. So, just contact any Higher Moderator and get your account banned for some days. This won't let the hacker post any irrelevant question/answer from your account.

If your account is Facebook linked, then make sure it is safe. Once your Facebook account is hacked, the hacker will get access to all the accounts which are created through it. So, keep a strong password.

A strong password must have the following characteristics:

It must have at least 10 characters, at least 3 digits. Also, your password becomes stronger when their is a mixture of UPPERCASE letters and lowercase letters.

A research has found out, that a password tro8uble341 needs only three days to be cracked, whereas a simple password like ihaveablueband102 needs almost 100 years for a skilled hacker to crack. So, keep such passwords and be safe!

When your device is hacked, do not switch on your Data (Internet) for some days (although now many more methods are found in which Internet is not at all required for hacking). Remove the hard disk (of your PC) and the SIM card (of your mobile). It's better if you change them forever.

You may also change your Google account, deactivating the previous (hacked) one, which will guarantee more safety.

THAT's ALL.
THANKS!
