Dear Anmol:
I hope this letter finds you enjoying your summer vacation! Well, mine has just started! Just before the vacation, we celebrated a fire-fighting week. Mock fire safety drills were conducted. The students sitting in the classes heard the fire alarm and through fire and smoke rushed out of the classes through emergency exits. The student and teacher fire-fighters took off the fire-extinguishers from the corridors and rehearsed dousing the flames.
The teachers and the students in the first-aid group along with the school doctor were ready to render first aid to the injured ones. A unit of the city’s Fire-Brigade department also participated in one of the drills. The purpose behind the observing of the fire-fighting week was to make children aware of the fire-fighting skills so that they are prepared for any emergency in the occurrence of any untoward happening. The rest is fine. Give regards to uncle and aunt.

Dear Sneha,
It has been a long time since I met you. I hope your puja vacation has started .My puja vacation has also started from yesterday. But the last week of our school was a horrible one. Everytime before this vacation we used to do a lot of enjoyment. This time our school ended with a fire fighting week.
It was Tuesday. Our history class was going on. Suddenly we heard the fire alarm. We all got very frightened. We all began to rush out of the classroom through emergency exit. The whole school was covered with dense white smoke and we couldn't see each other properly. All the teachers and students took off the fire extinguisher from the corridor and rehearsed dousing the flames. The principal of our school gave a call to a fire brigade and within minutes the fire brigade came and extinguished the fire. Many students, teacher, and also many non teaching staffs were injured. The school doctors were ready to render first aid to the injured ones.
Later we came to know that the fire caught in the generator room due to fault electrical equipment. It was a very frightening experience for all of us. Though it was frightening but we learnt many things about overcoming this kind of situation. We should keep a regular check of these electrical equipment. We also learnt that we should not panic in this situation. Keeping a cool mind we should think carefully how to overcome this situation. No more today. When you and your parents will come to our house, I will tell you more about it.
