QUESTION ---- z^2+10z+24 solve the question
ANSWER ------
z^2 + 10z + 24
Az ^2 + Bz + C
Find the product of A & C
Find two nos. whise Product is equal to AC and sum = B
z^2 + 10z + 24
z^2 + 6z + 4z + 24
z ( z+6 ) + 4 ( z+6 )
=> (z+4) (z+6)

This is a quadratic equation.
A quadratic equation means an equation of greatest power ^2
In order to solve this you have to express 10z as sum of any two numbers whose multiplication will give us 24 don't assume z in the process.
So,
z^2 +6z+4z+24
(Note 6 x 4 is 24)
Now group these together
taking a common in first part is z^2+6z
z(z+6)
Now taking 4 common in second part ie 4z+24
4(z+6)
It is a rule of quadratic equation that of your both brackets of both parts are equal then only are you correct if not do it again here we are correct as both contain (z+6)
moving forward,
Now the numbers outside the brackets ie z and 4 must be grouped into one bracket and express it as multiplication.
So,(z+6) (z+4)
is your reduced form of the equation
(if you want to try go ahead and multiply it and it will become your question:))
Thus your solutions are
z+6=0
why??
because all quadratic equations are always or most likely to be equal to 0
z=-6
or
z=-4
any of these can be correct depending on the situation.
hope I helped
