2KI(aq) + Pb(NO3)2 (aq) → PbI2(s) + 2KNO3(aq)
The reaction will produce a precipitate of lead iodide . This has a bright yellow colour.
Observation: when you mix the two colourless solutions , a bright yellow cloudiness develops - which is the insoluble lead iodide. This will later settle out as an insoluble precipitate.
