11. In parallelogram ABCD, BC = 8 cm and
altitude AM = 18 cm are given, find altitude
AN, if CD = 16 cm.​

We know that, Area of a parallelogram = Base × Corresponding altitude

∴ Area of parallelogram ABCD=AD×BN=AB×DM

⇒AD×5 =8×4

⇒AD= 8 × 4/5 =6.4cm
