Answer:

Containers made of glass are ideal for storage of acid due to its chemical inertness. Acid reacts with metals to produce the metal , salt and hydrogen gas . The volume of acid will reduce and over the time , it would rust out the container .

Answer:

Because acids react with metals and gradually the whole metal of which the container is made up of converted into salt of metal. There will be wholes created on the walls of metal container. But acids don't react with glass so acids are used to be kept in glass container rather than metal container.
