32,64,96,128,Find the HCF of the given number by prime factorisation and continued division method.

Prime factorisation method :

1 ) 32 = 2^5

2 ) 64 = 2^6

3 ) 96 = 2^5 × 3

4 ) 128 = 2^7

Therefore,

HCF ( 32 , 64 , 96 , 128 ) = 2^5

= 32

The prime factors of 32 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2

The prime factors of 64 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2

The prime factors of 96 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 3

The prime factors of 128 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2

The common factors are 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 = 32.

Therefore the HCF is 32.

By Division method:

32)64(2 Therefore HCF od 32 and 64 is 32.
