3x +  \frac{9}{4}  = 6 \\  \\ 3x = 6 -  \frac{9}{4}  \\  \\ 3x =  \frac{24 - 9}{4}  \\  \\ 3x =  \frac{15}{4}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{15}{4 \times 3}  \\ \\ x =  \frac{5}{4}

Hey mate,, here is your answer::

3x+9/4=6

taking LCM

12x +9=24

12x = 24-9

12x = 15

x = 15/12

x =1.25
