has been made rectangular
shaped of dimension 22 m x
20 m. The owner of house has
connected drain of roof top
with a cylindrical vessel on
ground through a circular pipe.
The diameter of cylindrical
vessel is 2 m. Hence the whole rainwater collected
on roof top can be stored in cylindrical vessel. A
certain day rainfall of 2.5 cm is recorded.

Step-by-step explanation:
Rectangular roof : l=22m,b=20m
Cylindrical tank : r=1m,h=3.5m
The volume of tank =πr2h
=722×1×1×3.5
=722×1035
=11m3
Area of roof =l×b=22×20=440m2
Rainfall =Area of roofVolume of tank
∴ Rainfall =440m211m3=0.025m
∴ Rainfall is 2.5cm
