A 31 kg child sits at one end of a 4.0 m long seesaw.Where should her 68 kg father sit so the center of mass will be at the center of the seesaw?

make sure weight is calculated ie. (33 X 9.81=323.73N)

Force1 X Distance1 = Force 2 X Distance2

323.73 x 1.55 = 637.65 x Distance2

501.7815 = 637.65 x distance2

Distance2 =0.78m FROM CENTRE OF SEESAW

so it would be 2.33m form child
