Answer:

8/5 days

Step-by-step explanation:

Lets assume total work is T

In one day A will do T/6 while B will do T/4

Since A can finish the work in 6 days while B in 4 days working alone

In 2 days, A alone would finish 2*T/6 = T/3 work

remaining work is T- T/3 = 2T/3 will be done by both A and B together

A + B together can do T/6+T/4 = 2T/12 + 3T/12 = 5T/12 of the work

So time taken by them for the remaining work is

Work remaining/ (5T/12) = 2T/3 % 5T/12 = 8/5 Days
