A bag has ₹155 in the form of ₹1, 50 paise and 10 paise in the ratio 3:5:7. Find the number of each type of coins.

thus number of-

₹1 notes=3x

50p. notes=5x

10p. notes=7x

Value of₹1 notes=1*3x=₹3x

value of 50p. notes=₹ 1/2*5x=₹ 5x/2

value of 10 p. notes= ₹ 1/10*7x=₹ 7x/10

since all amts. add up to ₹155,

3x+5x/2+7x/10=155

(30x+25x+7x)/10=155-----(taking LCM)

62x/10=155

x=155*10/62

x=25

thus number of-

₹1 notes= 75

50p. notes=125

10p. notes=175
