Answer:

Explanation:

Leniar moment = m×v

Mass = 150gm = 150 x 10-3

Velocity= 20 ms-1

P = m× v = 150x10-3 x 20

P = 3000/1000= 3kg m-1 answer

Given :-

A ball of mass 150 grams going at a speed of 20 metre per second is hit by a bat if it moves back with the same velocity.

To Find :-

Change in momentum

Solution :-

We know that

1 kg = 1000 g

150 g = 150/1000

150 g =0.15 kg

Momentum = mv

Δp = mv - mu

Δp = m(v - u)

Δp = 0.15[(-20) - 20]

Δp = 0.15[-40]

Δp = -6 kg/ms

Hence

Momentum is -6 kg m/s
