A body moves a distance of 6m towards east and then 2m towards north. calculate the total distance and displacement.

and Displacement is

Here's your answer!!!

as the distance covered = 6m towards East and 2m north. so total distance = 8m

and now the

displacement \: = \sqrt{ {6}^{2} + {2}^{2} } \\ displacement \: = \sqrt{36 + 4 } \\ displacement \: = \sqrt{40} \\ displacement \: = 36.32m
