v=0 as it is brought to rest
change i n momentum=mv-mu =15×0-15×15=0-225=-225 kg m/s
a=v-u/t
therefore,0-15/10=1.5m/s^2
using f=ma,
f=15×-1.5=-22.5N
then,retarding force is -22.5N
u=15m/s
t=10s
v=0 as it is brought to rest
change i n momentum=mv-mu =15×0-15×15=0-225=-225 kg m/s
a=v-u/t
therefore,0-15/10=1.5m/s^2
using f=ma,
f=15×-1.5=-22.5N
then,retarding force is -22.5N
