Let the no. of sweets be x & samosas be y.
Then according to the given conditions, we get
5x + 3y = 95 .........E1
& x + y = 25 .........E2
To solve, multiplying E2 by 3, then E2 becomes
3x + 3y = 75 ..........E3
Subtracting E3 from E2, we get
2x = 20
Therefore, x = 10.
Now, substituting the value of x in E2, we get
y = 25 - 10 = 15.
Therefore, no. of sweets = 10 &
no. of samosas = 15.
