kinetic energy of bullet = ½.m.v2= ½.10.10-3.16.104= 800Jnow we will convert 800 joule in calorie 800/4.18=191.38756 calorie will be the answer ….

Answer: 191.205 Calories

Given data states that there is a mass of 10 grams which needs to converted to kg which will be 0.01kg. And the bullet is moving at a speed of 400 m/s. Therefore to calculate kinetic energy of the bullet, we need to use the formula of kinetic energy and put values in it to get the answer.

Kinetic Energy,

                             K. E. = \frac{1}{2} m v^2 \\= \frac{1}{2} \times 0.01 \times 400 \times 400\\K.E. = 800 Joules.

Now convert it into calories by dividing the value of Joules by 4.184, we get,

                             \frac {800}{4.184} = 191.205 Calories
