A can complete work in 16 days..

A's 1 day work= 1/16

(A+B) can complete work iinn 12 days

so,

(A+B)'s 1 day work =1/12

let's B's work be = x

then,

1/16+x =1/12

x =1/48

B's work in 12 days = 1/48*12=1/4

A's work in 12 days = 1/16*12 = 3/4

therefore,

A's work/ B's work = A's salary/ B's salary

x + 3x = 640

4x = 640

x =160

B's salary = 160Rs

TPS: When i said A took 640, he had taken it to do the work himself. but he took B's help. So he will share some money from the 640.
