A car travels at a speed of 40km/hr for two hour and then at 60km/h for three hours.

What is the average speed of the car during the entire journey?

as we know that average speed = total distance/total time
=40*3+60*3/5
=300/5=60

car speed for two hr=40 km per hr

car speed for 3 hour =60 km per hr

car average speed=
 \frac{ \frac{40}{2} +  \frac{60}{3} } {2}
20+20/2

=20 km/ hr
