A chord of a circle of a radius 28cm subtends a right angle at the centre. What is the area of the minor sector ? (π= 227)

the area of sector = theta/360° x πr²

r = 28cm (given)

theta = 90° (given)

Area = 90/360 x 22/7 x 28 x 28

=>1 x 11 x 4 x 14 = 11 x 56

= 616cm²

therefore, area of sector = 616cm²
