The area of the road is 2618 m².

Given data :

Diameter of the circular ground is 112 metres.

Width of the road is 7 metres.

• So,the radius of the ground = 112/2 = 56 metres

• At first we have to calculate the area of the ground by using the following mathematical formula :

= π × radius²

= 22/7 × (56)²

= 9856 m²

• The radius of the ground including the path is = 56+7 = 63 metres

• The area of the ground including the path is = π×(63)² = 22/7×63×63 =

12474 m²

• So,the area of the path will be

= ( Area of the ground including the path - area of the ground)

= (12474-9856)

= 2618 m² (answer)
