A family consists of six members p, q, r, s, t and u. there are two married couples. q is a doctor and the father of t. u is grandfather of r and is a contractor. s is grandmother of t and is a housewife. there is one doctor, one contractor, one nurse, one housewife and two students in the family. what is the profession of p ?

since t is child of q who is doctor and his grandmother is s who is housewife so t definitely is student he or she cant be nurse.
and secondly u is grandfather of r who is contractor so r is student , he or she can't be nurse
so remaining p profession is nurse.

The profession of p is a nurse. if q is a doctor and the father to t then s is the grandmother of t and a housewife it means s is the mother of q. u is is grandfather of r and he is a contractor  so the only name that is not mentioned there is p and the only profession also that is not mentioned there is a nurse it is therefore automatic that p is the nurse.
