Sri Bal Mukund is a well known social worker. His Samaj Seva Niketan is a well known social organization which renders a lot of service to society. He is an avid speaker and inspires people with his talks. On Wednesday our teacher told us that the next day Sri Bal Mukund was going to visit our school. She told us about the social work that he was doing and we were very impressed.
It was a very special day for all of us. We were all very excited. Most of us reached school an hour before the usual time. Everywhere students were seen talking excitedly about his visit. It was 9 am and we all stood in a line on both sides of the pathway leading to the lecture hall. There was pin drop silence.
The Principal and some teachers went ahead and welcomed Sri Bal Mukund ji. He is a tall man and has a great personality. His face radiates compassion and kindness. We were impressed after seeing him.
When he started speaking, we became so engrossed in his speech that we did not realize that more than an hour had passed and it was time for him to go. Even after he left we sat quietly and were in deep thought.
It was only after the bell rang for break that we came back to normal. We started discussing about the wonderful things he had told us. We were inspired by the ideals of simple living and high thinking. We decided to help the poor children in our neighborhoods and serve the society in small possible ways.
