a few gram seeds are soaked in water for afew hours. these seeds absorb water and become bigger in size. can you say that seeds are showing growth?why?

When the seeds are placed in water after sometime its size increases because of ENDOSMOSIS i.e.,entry of water into a cell .
.Its not a growth ,it is a osmosis process.
.After this if the seed is sowed then u absorbs the growth like seed develope into plant.
