length of gymnasium = 50 m
breadth of gymnasium = 30 m
Area = length × breadth
=> 50×30
=> 1500 square meter
Width of track = 2.5 m
length of gymnasium without track = 50-2.5 = 47.5 m
breadth = 30-2.5 = 27.5 m
Area = (47.5×27.5) = 1306.25
Area of track = 1500-1306.25 = 193.75.
Hence the required area of track is 193.75 square meter.
