GIVEN :

=> A LENT MONEY :

TO B :

=> 600 RS

PERIOD :

=> 2 YEARS

_____________________________

TO C :

=> 150 RS

PERIOD :

=> 4 YRS

_____________________________

LET,

=> THE RATE OF INTEREST BE X %

_____________________________

FORMULA FOR SIMPLE INTEREST :

=> P * N * R / 100

_____________________________

SIMPLE INTEREST COLLECTED FROM B :

=> 600 * 2 * X / 100

=> 12X RS

_____________________________

SIMPLE INTEREST COLLECTED FROM C :

=> 150 * 4 * X / 100

=> 6X RS

_____________________________

BUT ,

=> WE HAVE GIVEN THE SUM OF INTEREST COLLECTED :

=> 90RS

______________________________

BY ALL THIS INFO :

=> TOTAL SIMPLE INTEREST

=> 12X RS + 6X RS = 90 RS

=> 18X RS = 90 RS

=> X = 90 RS / 18 RS

=> X = 5 %
