A rectangular park measuring 125m by 60m is surrounded by a path 4m wide. Find the cost of paving the path with bricks at the rate of Rs.120 square metre.

area of park along with path =
133+68/125×60=
1544
rate=1544×120=185280rs

Here is your answer ----

=> Park = EFGH

=> Park along with path = ABCD

=> Area of park (EFGH) = 125 × 60
= 7500 m^2

=> Area of park along with path (ABCD) = (125 + 4 + 4) × (60 + 4 + 4)
= 133 × 68
= 9044 m^2

=> Area of Path only = Area of ABCD - Area of EFGH
= 9044 - 7500
= 1544 m^2

=> Cost of paving per m^2 = ₹ 120

=> Cost of paving 1544 m^2 = ₹ (120×1544)
= ₹ 1,85,280
