!! Hey Mate !!

your answer is ---

since, a stone is dropped from roof of house reaches the ground in 1.5 second

such that , t = 1.5 s and initial velocity u=0

Let, distance of roof from ground is equal to the distance covered by stone be h.

according to formula

h = ut + 1/2at^2

=> h = 1/2×10×2.25

=> h = 11.25

therefore , distance of the roof from the ground is 11.25 metre.

Now, velocity of stone is

v = u + at

=> v = 10×1.5

=> v = 15m/s

Hence, the distance of the roof from the ground and the velocity of the stone with which it strikes the ground is 11.25 metre and 15m/s respectively .
