A student places a 8 cm tall object perpendicular to the principle axis of the convex lens of focal length 20cm the distance of the object from the lens is 30 cm he obtains a sharp image of the object on a screen placed on the other side of the lens. State the nature ( inverted, erect, magnified, diminished) of the image he obtain on a screen. Draw a ray diagram to justify your answer.

focal length is 20cm and position of image is 30cm. It means that image is between f2 and 2f2.
If the image is b/w f2 & 2f2 then position of object will be b/w infinity and 2f1.
The image formed will be real and inverted.
