a survey have benn conducted on 100 people out of which 20 use bicycles , 50 use motor bikes and 30 use cars to travel feom one place to another . find probability of people who use 1)car or motor bike 2)motor bike or bicycle 3) neither car nor bicycle?

Outcomes for people who come from bike = 50

Outcomes for bicycle = 20

Outcomes for car = 30

Now ,

♣ Probability of car or motorbike

= (50 + 30)/100

=> 4/5 .......(1)

♣ Probability of bike or bicycle

= (50 + 20)/100

=> 7/10. ......... (2)

♣ Probability of neither bike nor car

= 50/100

=> 1/2 ........... (3)
