speed= distance / time
SPEED=120/2=60km/hr
NOW NEW TIME
speed=distance/time
60=D/7=420km. (d=distance)

let the required distance be x km
Then we have
distance ( in km ) 120 x
time taken (in hrs ) 2 7
clearly , as the time increases the distance will also increase in the same ratio
so , this is a case of direct variation .
hence
120 / 2 = x / 7
=> 2 × x = 120 × 7
=> x = 120 × 7 / 2
=> x = 420 km
Therefore , the train will cover 420 km in 7hrs at the same speed .
