Area of verandah = 40m * 15m

                               = 4000 * 1500

                               = 6000000.

Area of each stone = 6dm * 5dm

                                 = 60 * 50

                                 = 3000.

Number of stones required = 6000000/3000

                                               = 2000.

Hope this helps! :)
