Sum of any two sides of a triangle is greater than the third side and difference of any two sides is lesser than the third side.
Hence AB + BC > AC
i.e. 11 > AC
and BC - AB < AC
i.e. 3 < AC
Hence 3cm < AC < 11cm
Hence AB + BC > AC
i.e. 11 > AC
and BC - AB < AC
i.e. 3 < AC
Hence 3cm < AC < 11cm
