area of parallelogram= base × altitude
for ABCD
AE is perendicular to DC
AREA OF PARALLELOGRAM
DC×AE
AB× AE
18× 16=equation 1

for ABCD
CE is perpendicular to AD
AREA OF PARALLELOGRAM
AD× CF
AD× 10= equation 2

from equation 1 and 2

16×18=AD×10
AD=16×18÷10 =12·8CM

therefore AD =12.8cm
