After 12 years I shall be 3 times as old as I was 4 years ago. find my present age.

Let the present age be x years.So after 12 years I'll be (x +12)years old.
4 years ago my age was (x-4)years
So now according to the question,
3(x-4) = 12+x
Or, 3x -12 = 12 +x
Or, 3x -x = 12+12
Or, 2x = 24
Or, x = 12
Hence the present age is 12 years (Ans)...
