Heya,

According to the question,

Height of pole = 18 m

Angle formed by the support wire and ground = 60°

To find the length of wire we will use sin60°

=> sin60° = perpendicular/hypotenous

=> √3/2 = 18/hypotenous

=> 18×2/√3 = hypotenous

=> 36×√3/√3×√3 = hypotenous

=> hypotenous = 36√3/3

=> hypotenous = 12√3

So, length of support wire = 12√3 m

Hope this helps....:)

let ab be the pole and and ac be the support wire and BC be the distance of support from the base of pole than ABC is a ri8 angle∆ now angle c= 60° ..
now apply the formula tan60= ab/BC
√3=18/ab
ab√3=18
an=18/√3 now multiply numerator and denominator by √3 u will get 6√3 m
now ac²=ab²+bc²
ac²=18²+6√3²
ac²=324+108
ac²=432
now find ac = √432
OK hope it helps u ?
