Object distance = u = -48 cm
Focal length = f = -24 cm
Image distance = v = ?
1/v = 1/f - 1/u
= -1/24 + 1/48
= -2+1/48
= -1/48
v = -48 cm
The image is at a distance of 48 cm from the mirror.
m = -v/u
= -(-48)/-24
= -2
As the magnification is negative , the image formed is real , inverted.
