Explanation:

If an object is projected with v velocity at the angle theta with the horizontal .

the velocity will be Cos( theta).

the velocity of that object at the highest point will be 0 .

because at the highest point every object loses it's velocity .

From that point that object gets effected by the gravity positively .

For example if we throw a ball with 45° angle it will have the most lengthy path but at the highest point it will lose it's velocity and starts falling with the gravity.
