In this question we will use kinematics equation.

Since we have the height and time we will use the following kinematics equation.

S = ut + 1/2gt²

Where :

S = height

u = initial velocity.

t = time in seconds

g = gravitational acceleration

In our case the initial velocity = 0

Doing the substitution we have :

5 = 0 × 5 + 1/2 × g × 5²

5 = 12.5g

g = 5/12.5

g = 0.4

The g on the planet is therefore 0.4m/s²
