There have been numeorus transitions after indeoendece which range from millitary regimes, parliamentary democracy ,presidential democracy as well as civil war. Each of the occurences has faced a number of challenges regarding stability and political influences. One of teh major events that took place was the controversy concerning luestion of self governance in nigeria which lasted for a long period of time as the two sides of governance tried to come up with a common ground on which the country could be operated.
