If you want to find the area of a triangle when only value of sides are given , then we use Heron’s formula which states ‘ Area = root of [s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c) ]’  where s = a+b+c/2 and a,b,c are the sides of the triangle

Here S = 3+4+5/2

           = 12/2

           = 6.

Using formula

Area = root of [6(6-3)(6-4)(6-5)]

         = root of [ 6*3*2*1 ]                              (* stands for multiplication)

         = root of [ 36 ]

         = 6 square metres
