Tree climbing is a recreational or functional activity consisting of ascending and moving around in the crown of trees.

A rope, helmet, and harness can be used to ensure the safety of the climber. Other equipment can also be used depending on the experience and skill of the tree climber. Some tree climbers take special hammocks called "Treeboats" and Portaledges with them into the tree canopies where they can enjoy a picnic or nap, or spend the night.

Some tree-climbers employ a mixture of techniques and gear derived from rock climbing and caving. These techniques are also used to climb trees for other purposes: tree care (arborists), animal rescue, research, and activism.

wanted to see what you guys thought if your up for the short read..tha teach gave me a C which I find quite ridiculous but she's the teacher so who am I!! Btw I pumped this baby out after a handful of milky bong rips straight to tha dome piece..gave me the precise motivation I needed haha so here goes...

Ever set your eyes upon a mighty oak, weeping willow, or even a towering sycamore only to hope and dream that maybe one day you can explore its heights and what it just might have to offer? Well worryyy noo more (Billy Mays voice) because I’m here to make your dreams a reality. Once you reach the peak of one of these treetops, the feeling is truly indescribable. As you speculate upon the terrain below you, it seems as if, for an accelerated moment in time you are a mighty being on top of this luscious, green earth without a sole worry. So with my years of skill and experience, plus your literate ability, you can soon experience this divine sensation yourself and be tree climbin’ in no time! Or even quite possibly, become one of the greatest climbers to walk this majestic planet.

Let’s dive in! You need to size up your tree to get the best one for your climbing, it must have quite a variety of branches, but not too many because it might cause scrapes and bruises. Many newcomers tend to rush into this part in such excitement that it leads to immediate minor or even fatal injuries, so it truly is the key and foundation to a successful climb.

Once you think you’ve discovered your supreme timber, make your way around once more and scope out any hazards that you may possibly encounter, such as; wild hawks, tree climbing bear sloths, indigenous warlocks, and most importantly koala’s. I also like to vision myself as the tree itself and if there seems to be zero negative energy present, it’s a good sign and will lead to great results.

Now that you are mentally and physically primed, let’s get to it! First you need to locate the lowest branch, and when you’re ready, place a firm grip onto it with your strongest paw. Since I’m a righty, I usually go with my right hand. Now that you have a strong grip onto your branch, lift yourself upwards carefully using much upper body force. If you feel yourself struggling, try throwing over your leg as if you were straddling a black stallion.

Continuing the vertical ascent, navigate your way towards your next limb you wish to engage. Advance with the precise method of getting onto the first branch, using the might of your arms and upper body. Although there may not be an accessible branch above you, you may need to explore the other side… risky risky! If you do chose to go about this dangerous route, grasp and/or bear hug the core of the tree, much like you are attempting to hug someone whom your hands are unable to completely fit around; and then proceed to shimmy your way cautiously to the nearest branch.

As you start progressing upwards once more, maintain your center of gravity and balance in every alteration or maneuver you make. Once you have reached your desired height, congratulate yourself for the stupendous achievement you just conquered and if you’re feeling a bit fatigued, find a nice large branch and take a little nap, you deserve it!

With bravery and determination, and these handy tips, your future climbing escapades will no longer be such a quandary. Just remember to follow your heart, believe in yourself and the sky is the limit… or until the branches are no more.
