Your answer is here

Selling price is 2500

Discount % is 20%

(°. ° 100% - 20 % = 80 %)

It means that 2500 is equal 80% of actual price

Then 100 % is

2500 ÷ 80 × 100 = 3125

Actual price is 3125

I hope it's helpful for you. Thank you

CP is the cost price of the product. That is the actual price at which the goods are bought by the merchant or the retailer.

SP is the selling price of the product. It is the price at which the product is sold or service is sold to the buyer.

Here, the cycle is sold for Rs 2500 at 20% discount

To find the actual price that is cost price of the product the formula used is  CP=(\frac{100}{100 - Loss}\percentage) SP

CP=(\frac{100}{100-20})*2500

=\frac{100}{80}* 2500\\

=\frac{25000}{8} = 3125

∴ The actual price of the cycle = Rs. 3125.
