In the play 'Julius Caesar', Brutus was Caesar's most trusted friend. But as the conspirators found Caesar as ambitious, they planned on killing him. Brutus, his most trusted friend, was also a part of this conspiracy. When Caesar was stabbed, he was shattered to know that Brutus was a part of the plan.
