1. Gram Sabha consists of all the adult ( above 18) members of a village ( or a cluster of villages). Whereas, the Gram Panchayat is a small body whose members are elected.


 2. The term of Gram Panchayat is usually 5 years, whereas Gram Sabha is a permanent body and not subject to dissolution.


 3. Gram panchayat is a sort of executive organ of Gram Sabha. The Gram Sabha monitors and evaluates the work of Gram Panchayat.

Gram Sabha is used to mean a general assembly of all the people of a village,who have attained the age of 18 year and their name is entered in voter list.The executive committee of gram Sabha is known as Gram Panchayat which consist of the representative elected by Sabha
