When electric discharge is passed through gydrogen gas which is enclosed in discharge tube under low pressure . It will be observed emission spectrum using spectroscope of hydrogen.

It consist of large number of lines which have 7 different frequncies that are Lyman,Balmer,Paschen,

Bracket,Pfund..

Only Balmer is visible ray of light...
