as the given height and depth are very negligible with respect to the radius of the earth therefore
i) g'=9.8(1-400/6400)
      =9.8x6000/6400
      9.18m/s
ii) g'=g(1-d/R)
       =9.8 x 1-100/6400
       = 9.8 x 6300/6400
       =9.6m/s
