Grammar is like the oxygen of English. Without Grammar there won't be anything of English or the developments of the English Language which we can see in the past Years.
So Basically, If you want to be a Champ in English, You have to learn the Grammar Thoroughly. Although The following tips which would be shown down here may not give you an instant result but, we do say "Practices Makes a Man Perfect."
Tip Number One: Understanding Concepts Clearly
From Around Grade 5, You would have been introduced with the basics (Nouns, Pronouns,Verb, Tense and so on) which is usually repeated almost every year henceforth or you may experience an upgrade of level (The Difficulty level increases). At that time when you are perfect with your basics, It would be easier to understand the Higher ones.
But, As Your exams are Approaching (Considering Like that) I can tell you that, If any of your Concepts are unclear Do give a try in understanding them again. Listen the understanding by your Teacher, Your Mother, Your Brother or Sister or Listen by us! Listening the same thing by many others can effect in better Understanding.
Tip Number Two: Writing Skills Teaches More
I Believe that When you don't understand something you must try writing it. Wait, Are you wondering the connection between writing and Grammar? I'll tell you. When you write, You Practise, When you Practice You Gain better Perfection than before. Our Brain can understand better if we write. And if you try to practice more questions of similar kind then this would increase your Grammar Skills.
For your Exams, Try to solve atleast 20 Questions of each Grammar topic. If you have more, Attempt for more. Try Solving the solved examples too. Also Don't forget to check for more questions from different Grammar books, They do have some exercises based on a given topic.
Tip Number Three: Make Observation your Prime Goal
Sometimes, We make concepts clear, we practice a lot but because of mistake in minor observation we lose a lot. That won't be a good result for our lot of Hardwork So, Observation or Alertness what we generally say is very essential. If you mistook a reading as 'is' to 'was', it can affect you with the whole Paragraph which you are writing.
So, While preparing Don't hurry in writing the answer quickly as if you know it because sometimes we mistakely ignore and mistook it. Patiently read the question and then attempt to answer. Grammar is something which needs acute observation and presence of mind. So, Look to this suggestion.
Tip Number Four: Be Social: Communicate in English
Some People claim that, their fluency in their Language helps them to understand Grammar more. I know not everyone would be perfect in English or have a flow in the fluency, But Communicating with someone in English for even a 10 minutes can help you learn many new words and new concepts of Grammar. If you fear in speaking, try Chatting with your friends in English as it can improve skills of writing as well as a practice of Grammar.
For your Exams, I won't suggest Chatting Because Some may find it addictive which you mustn't be during Exams, Rather I would suggest you spending just 15 minutes in writing a Paragraph on your device or your Handy Book using the concept of Grammar which you have in your exams. This can increase your potential of thinking and can give you better mutual understanding than before.
Tip Number Five: Stay in Contact with English
Sometimes, if we meet a known person after a long time say 10 Years, Obviously we won't be able to recollect many of the things. Same way If you don't practice Grammar you can lose the contact or the flow through which you used to do before. When your Grammar becomes weak that means either there's a lack of memory or a lack of practice. Some of the people's feedback is that their regular practice helped them for better things.
After your exams or Before some days Don't try to neglect it or try to forget because it may not result you instantly but will affect your future as that time you won't be able to understand as you left the contact. So, Try to be in contact with Grammar.
