Henry Slater was a man who has no will of his own and no say in the house. He is Amelia's husband, Victoria's father and son in law of Abel Merry Weather. He has a drooping moustache and a heavy built. Henry does what his wife tells him to do. He is not bad and greedy in nature but hides somethings of grandfather before the arrival of Amelia's sister. Unlike his wife he has a sense of humanity but he lacks individualism. He blindly follows what his wife says.
