One such news was about the US election. There were newspapers (Newsweek, The Guardian, etc) which confidently said Hillary Clinton would win, while other newspaper(s) (Santa Barbara News-Press, St. Joseph News-Press, etc) assured of Donald Trump winning. Each of these newspaper gave opposite narratives of politcal  scenarios

Explanation:

  • During the  2016 US. presidential election had continued to dominate the news, and several accusations of "media bias" were surfacing similar to what they do every 4 years.
  • This because these "mutually contradictory critiques" usually begin from the "assumption" that media have their "own interests & preferences" and are attempting to boost favoured candidates for a "credulous audience".
